Background

I received my PhD in Gender Studies at Lund University in 2018 with the title Seeking Middle-Classness – University Students in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Research Areas

  • Fiction literature and politics

Current Research and Teaching

I teach and supervise on a range of courses in qualitative methods, feminist and postcolonial theory and cultural studies at the undergraduate and graduate level at the Department of Gender Studies and Graduate School of Social Sciences.

I am a member of the transdisciplinary Advanced Study Group at the Pufendorf Institute Moves towards an anticolonial academy: exploring post and decolonial epistemic options.
